and is likely to require a mutual aid response in order to assist the trust managing the incident. this course provides a common standard of training and education aligned to the ambulance commanders national occupational standards (nos) as well as the joint emergency services interoperability principles (jesip) joint doctrine: the interoperability framework and national ambulance service command and control guidance document (2015) this course is now competency based (pass or fail) and delegates will be formally assessed throughout the duration of the four days. it is essential the pre-course assignment (please see pre-course material tab) is emailed to the course lead, this can be no later than 72hrs prior to the course start. throughout the course there will be daily knowledge checks to monitor your progress. read more duration: 4 days | next date: 08 oct - 11 oct 2018 next location: naru education centre ba champions course the ba champions course is intended for hart personnel who are required to carry out routine maintenance and statutory monthly inspections on breathing apparatus in accordance with draeger’s recommendations. delegates will be assessed by a draeger training officer in the skills and knowledge required to achieve the standards of competence to maintain the specified draeger equipment. this course will focus on the hart ba equipment, bodyguard ii, software and merlin board. read more duration: three days | course dates coming soon. mtfa responder course the mtfa response course is aligned to edition four of the jesip joint operating principles (jop’s). during the course the current threat will be discussed as well as the application of these jop’s within a training mtfa environment. this will ensure staff are fully aware of the role with which they have agreed to undertake. once familiar with the jop’s, personal protective equipment, clinical and extraction devices, delegates will then be given the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the safe systems of work within the mtfa warm zone. this will be carried out in a number of realistic and challenging scenarios, utilising the excellent training facilities available at the naru education centre. read more duration: 2 days | next date: 29 aug - 30 aug 2018 next location: naru education centre hart initial edba course the aim of the course is to provide newly-recruited hart paramedics with the skills required to safely and competently operate in extended duration breathing apparatus in a variety of environments. spread over two consecutive weeks;
